The Specimen Collection, Processing and Point of Care Core Lab provides reliable and consistent sample collection and processing, as well as sample shipping, storage, and retrieval to facilitate the generation of reliable and timely laboratory data. This laboratory utilizes CTRC nursing and phlebotomy staff to perform these functions.

- Packaging and shipping of samples
- Bedside tests by Bayer Rapid Point 400
- Hematocrit
- pH
- Glucose
- Available on request (blood gases, electrolytes, calcium etc)
