CTSA Undergraduate Training Program Objectives
- To stimulate the awareness and interests of college/university undergraduates in health sciences and translational research;
- To mentor their career development in clinical research;
- To facilitate their recruitment into Penn and other national postgraduate medical and graduate clinical and translational research training programs.
The CTSA Education leadership have partnered with local colleges and universities in addition to the University of Pennsylvania. These include Bryn Mawr College, Franklin & Marshall, Haverford College, Lincoln University, and Swarthmore College. Students in this training program are eligible for summer internships with ITMAT investigators funded by the U54 component of the CTSA.
