Predoctoral Admissions and Application
Admissions
The admissions process for the MD-MTR program is competitive and requires admission to both the MD and MTR programs. During the current year (08-09) applications will only be accepted from Penn Med students. In future years, applications may be accepted by candidates simultaneously making initial application to the MD program, so that it is possible to receive initial acceptance into the MD-MTR program. The MD-MTR program is only open to students who are or will be enrolled at Penn. Medical students at other institutions are not eligible to apply.
Applications are due October 30th of year 3 and admissions and funding notification will take place by November 30th. Applications should be dropped off at the MTR Coordinator’s office, 3400 Spruce Street, room 971 Maloney Bldg.
In addition to submitting an MTR application, students must also submit a Master's Program Registration Form (This form will also be shared with the Registrar).
