*If students are accepted into a combined MD MTR degree program CSTR will be completed in the Fall of year 2. If students are accepted into a Year Out program after matriculating into medical school CSTR may be completed in the Fall of year 4.
All of year 4 and Fall of year 5 will be devoted to fulltime work toward the MTR, during which students are not registered for th M.D.

T32 grant provides a stipend of $20,772 and tuition cost of $21,577
Medical students are allowed to take 3 courses free of charge over their 4 years of medical school if enrolled during the fall or spring semesters = $12,000
Cost to the student for the MTR degree is approx $(48,000 – 21,577) – 12,000 = $14,423
Students enrolled in the MTR program are only charged 7 semesters of medical school tuition. – this will make the MD/MTR degree cost cost neutral for T32 funded students.
