2015 Symposium Highlights

2015 ITMAT SYMPOSIUM
Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics

The 2015 ITMAT Symposium will again enlist outstanding speakers from the U.S. and abroad to address topics of direct relevance to translational science. Speakers will include those dealing with approaches to the pursuit of translational science in academic medical centers and biotech, the role of the FDA in promoting translational science and the impact of innovative technologies such as super-resolution imaging and optogenetics, CRISPR-Cas9 and advances in bioinformatics relevant to parsing biological systems and the evolution of precision medicine. Broad areas of scientific advance in therapeutic approaches to cancer, cardiovascular, blood and neurodegenerative disease, stem cell biology, single cell biology and immunotherapeutics will also be reviewed. Audience participation will be encouraged both in the discussion periods and in the many unstructured opportunities for interaction at coffee and meal breaks and at our conference dinner. Our dinner speaker will be the two time poet laureate, Billy Collins.
