2013 ITMAT SYMPOSIUM: Harnessing the Paradox: Personalization and the Science of Scale
The 2013 ITMAT symposium will again enlist outstanding speakers from the US and abroad to address topics of direct relevance to translational science. Speakers will include those dealing with large infrastructural investments, such as the UK biobank and the Biomedical Research Institutes and Centers in that country and the recently funded $1 Billion European brain mapping program, broad areas of scientific advance such as systems biology, optogenetics and lab on a chip technologies and specific advances in metabolism, metabolomics and the microbiome. Audience participation will be encouraged both in the discussion periods and in the many unstructured opportunities for interaction at coffee and meal breaks and at our conference dinner. Our dinner speaker will be Chris Austin, Director of NCATS.
Date: Monday and Tuessday, October 14-15, 2013
Location: Smilow Center for Translational Research Rubenstein Auditorium and Lobby, 3400 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104
