IP and Publication Policy

Intellectual Property (IP): For all projects submitted to the CNSC, the IP will belong entirely to the submitting party, not the CNSC or its employees.

Publications: If the CNSC produces a known chemical compound, nanoparticle, or polymer, we request that the core be acknowledged by the following (or similar) statement: “Compound X was provided by the Chemical and Nanoparticle Synthesis Core, University of Pennsylvania, PA 19104”, with appropriate reference to the published procedure.

If a new compound is produced and complete characterization data is required for publication, we request that the CNSC staff scientist(s) involved with the project be included as a co-author.
